A menu that sells the dish, not the price
One page, one glance
A menu that fits on one page gets read; a menu that runs to three gets skimmed. The maker fits your dishes onto a single A4 and shrinks the text a little when it has to. If it tells you the page is full, the fix is almost always fewer dishes, not smaller type: a short menu sells more of everything on it.
Prices without the theatre
Put the number, drop the trailing .00, and keep the currency label small. Right-aligned prices with no dotted leaders keep the eye on the dish rather than the cost. The sheet does all of that for you; you only type the numbers.
Descriptions that earn their line
Three to eight words: the main ingredients, the way it is cooked, the thing that makes it yours. “Slow-cooked beef, 24-month parmesan” says more than a paragraph. Leave the description empty when the name already does the job.
The line at the bottom
The menu is the one piece of paper every guest reads. The last line on it can say “every 8th lunch is on us” and that sentence is worth more than any poster. Edit it to match your loyalty programme, or switch it off.
Questions about the menu maker
No. The menu is drawn in your browser, saved in your browser’s own storage so it is there when you return, and downloaded straight from the page. Nothing you type is sent to us. Clearing site data removes it.
Yes. Choose “As many as needed” under Pages and the menu flows onto extra pages at full size; tick “Start on a new page” on a section to put, say, the drinks on the back. Print double-sided for a front-and-back menu. PNG and SVG download one file per page.
The sheet is A4 portrait. It prints on Letter at 100% scale with a small trim at the bottom, and the PNG scales to A5 or A3 without losing sharpness because it is drawn at print resolution.
A logo, yes: upload a PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP under Design and it sits above the restaurant name. Dish photos are not supported; a type-and-colour menu prints cleanly on any office printer and reads faster at the table.
